Scott Possley is an author, wellness advocate, and the creator of Imperfection Wellness, a philosophy rooted in a simple idea: We are more than what our thoughts say about us and the world around us!
His work explores the space between the thoughts we have and the stories we believe about ourselves, especially the ones that tell us we're not enough, something is missing, or we need to become someone else to be worthy and find value.
Through his own experiences with struggle, self-doubt, addiction, loss, and the search for belonging, Scott discovered that lasting change doesn't necessarily begin with changing who we are. Sometimes, it begins with becoming aware of what has been running the show.
That realization became the foundation for his first book, More Than My Thoughts, and for Possley’s Paradigm, his practical approach to wellness built around ten universal truths. His work brings together mindfulness, meditation, self-awareness, acceptance, and intentional action—not as another prescription for becoming a “better” version of yourself, but as tools for coming home to the person you already are.
Scott believes wellness isn't reserved for people who have figured it all out. It's for all of us who are PERFECTLY Imperfect!
Through his writing, speaking, and Imperfection Wellness, he invites people to slow down, get curious about their patterns, and take the next right step without needing to have the whole path figured out.
Because none of us are our thoughts... We are so much more!
About Scott
Imperfection Wellness is Wellness for the PERFECTLY Imperfect, which is all of us. As humans, we are fallible. This fallibility collectively makes us imperfect by default, yet many constantly stive for unattainable perfection. When we know our foundation is imperfection, we can build off of that, having compassion for ourselves and others.
At Imperfection Wellness, we believe mental health and wellness are a human right. As a human right, we feel everyone should have access to free wellness resources, regardless of any chosen or attributed social characteristics, demographics or how you identify.
Happiness is not about everything always being pleasant. Happiness is finding internal contentment and fulfillment, and being able to find internal strength to handle that which occurs in the Present Moment. People, jobs, cars, careers, etc come and go. Those are fleeting externals and then on top of that, we compare our lacks/weaknesses with other's successes/strengths and feel we let ourselves down. When we are grounded in self, we find happiness and calm in the present moment.
The ideas at Imperfection Wellness are not novel. Many of the concepts discussed here have been around for thousands of years. What is novel is how they are presented within the “Possley Paradigm”. This paradigm will help set you free from thoughts and behaviors that prevent you from finding fulfillment from within.
