Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ImperfectionWellness.com (the “Site”) and any purchases, classes, trainings, talks, or other offerings from Imperfection Wellness, LLC (“I,” “me,” “we”). By using the Site or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms, my Privacy Policy, and my Disclaimer. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site or make a purchase.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to make a purchase or register for a class or training. The Site is not directed to children under 16.
2. Educational content; no professional relationship
All content on the Site, including pages, podcast episodes, videos, guided meditations, newsletters, free resources, and classes (the “Content”), is for educational purposes only and is not medical or mental health advice. Please read my Disclaimer, which is part of these Terms. No provider-patient or clinician-client relationship is created by using the Site, buying from me, or attending any offering.
3. Ownership and permitted use
The Site and its Content, including text, books, podcasts, videos, guided meditations, journals, graphics, the name “Imperfection Wellness™,” and “Possley’s Paradigm™,” are owned by me or my licensors and protected by intellectual property laws, including copyright and trademark. You may view and use the Content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, publicly perform, modify, or create derivative works from the Content, or use it to train AI systems, without my written permission. Short quotations with clear credit and a link to the Site are fine. Free resources are provided for your personal use only.
4. Newsletter and free resources
Signing up for a free resource or making a purchase from me directly also subscribes you to my newsletter, as stated at signup and checkout. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. See my Privacy Policy for how I handle your information.
5. Orders and payments
Prices and payment: Prices are shown in US dollars and may change. Payments are currently processed by PayPal, and I may use Stripe or other processors in the future. By paying, you confirm you’re authorized to use the payment method.
Merchandise: Delivery dates are estimates. Once an order has shipped, I’m not responsible for delays caused by carriers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS, or others. If your order hasn’t arrived within 7 days of the estimated delivery date, contact me and I’ll help track it. All merchandise sales are final and non-refundable, except as described here. If an item arrives damaged or is not the item you ordered, email me at Info@ImperfectionWellness.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos, and I will replace it or refund it. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable law.
Books and other items sold by third parties: Purchases from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, The Game Crafter, and similar retailers are governed by those retailers’ terms and policies, and any refund or return requests go to them.
6. Classes, trainings, and talks (including Vedic Meditation training)
Registration: Your spot is confirmed when I receive payment or an agreed payment-plan deposit.
Pricing and payment plans: Some offerings use pay-what-you-can or installment pricing. If you agree to a payment plan, you’re responsible for all scheduled payments.
Cancellations and refunds: If you cancel at least 24 hours before the first session, you will receive a full refund. After that, payments are non-refundable. In a genuine emergency, I may, at my sole discretion, offer a credit toward a future session. If you are on a payment plan, remaining installments stay due once the first session begins. If I cancel a session or course for any reason, I will offer a full refund or reschedule.
Rescheduling and missed sessions: I will do my best to reschedule a missed session once. If we can’t find a time, or you miss a session without 24 hours’ notice, payment is still due. If you miss a second session, I can’t offer further rescheduling, and no refund will be given.
Repeat sessions: Students of the 4-day Vedic Meditation course may repeat days 2, 3, and 4 (days 3 and 4 are sometimes combined) of future scheduled courses. This applies only to courses already on the schedule and does not entitle you to a separate 3- or 4-day individual class whenever you request one.
Your participation: You’re responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you and for telling me about relevant health concerns. You may stop at any time. In-person events may require a separate liability waiver.
Recordings and materials: Please don’t record sessions or share class materials without my permission. Your personalized mantra and any private instruction are for your personal use only.
No guarantee of results. Experiences vary, and I don’t promise any specific outcome.
7. Refunds and disputes
If you have a problem with an order or class, please email me first at Info@ImperfectionWellness.com. I’ll work with you in good faith to resolve it, and I respond to requests within 7 business days. Contacting me first is requested but doesn’t limit any rights you have with your payment provider. If you dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider, I may share these Terms and my records of your registration, attendance, and communications with them.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t use the Site to break the law, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, send spam or harmful code, or harass others.
9. Third-party links and content
The Site links to third-party websites and services that I don’t control. I’m not responsible for them, and a link is not an endorsement.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and Content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. I don’t warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any Content is complete or accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Imperfection Wellness, LLC, and Scott W. Possley are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site, Content, or offerings. My total liability for any claim relating to the Site or an offering will not exceed the amount you paid me for that offering in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Imperfection Wellness, LLC, and Scott W. Possley from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact me and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any legal action will be brought in the state or federal courts located in LaSalle County, Illinois, and you consent to that venue, except where the law of your home jurisdiction requires otherwise.
14. Changes
I may update these Terms. The date above shows the latest version, and continued use of the Site after changes means you accept them. Changes don’t apply to purchases already made.
15. General
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision isn’t a waiver. These Terms, with my Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between us about the Site.
